Which would you get and why? Is the VI audio only slightly better?

What’s your primary use case for these those are pretty pricey. Or are you the buy once cry once type?

Buy once cry once for sure. I've always enjoyed good quality, and the PI firm is doing pretty well so far. I think spending untold money racing the last 12 years makes me feel good about long term investments in my gear when a set of $450 slicks burns up in 21 laps haha. No sponsors for gun stuff though. The military discounts can add up. About a year ago or so I finally upgraded/replaced my 15 year old shellback tactical carrier and I also have a high cut ballistic helmet from them, so I want some better ear pro that works with that. You can talk to your friends without radio if they also have the VI, which is kinda cool but maybe niche. I think I'm getting old enough to have a bit of the GWOT nostalgia hitting too lol..

The vi just has some new things I would never use, some new comms feature and sound settings for different "missions". I've had a pair of V's for 5-6 years and love them.

just saw you got them already, if you didn't get gel cups I highly advise to. I originally got the 3m branded ones but when I replaced them last year I got these and couldn't tell and difference between the 3m ones and much cheaper.

I’m not sure if this is normal but the box had both gel cups and helmet mounts included already.
