And yes, the plate was a PITA to get, but not impossible. Just need to have your dealer hound Walther. The pin system on the Echelon is great, no plate needed, meaning lower mount for the optic.

But which one you like to shoot with? I tried PDP, Echelon and M&P side by side. Only 1 mag each, and I liked all three with tiny, very slight edge to echelon

Personally, I prefer the echelon. While the pdp has a better trigger, it feels and shoots like a full size gun to me. And it carries like one.

The echelon is smaller but doesn't feel like a sub compact and shoots like a full size to me. I did add the NDZ recoil spring assembly to both and it made a bigger difference on the echelon than on the pdp.

Not saying I don't like the pdp. It's a great gun to shoot. But for me, the echelon feels better overall.

I felt the same when tried PDP and Echelon side by side, but I was limited to only 1 mag from each

Goes from out of stock back to stock with 2-3 available every time. I don’t know what kind of games they play, but it worked on me. After watching in stock/not in stock for three days I ordered it :)

Took it out for first test drive yesterday. Distance 7 yards.
Compared to my current guns on permit (C3.6, P365 and BG2.0) P365 was with XL slide and two different grip modules - WC and MM commander.
Echelon and BG irons, C3.6 and P365 with optics. It was hotter than in devil’s anus in indoor range. Paws were wet, couldn’t get a good grip on BG2.0 and P365 with both grip modules, although MM was slightly better.
Echelon passed sweat test, so did C3.6.
Shot BG2.0 a bunch, including single handed with either hand, but not with splash targets. On splash all shots two handed with 1 second between shots. I think I as accurate with BG2.0 as with P365, not even sure if I want it anymore. C3.6 was easiest one to shoot, BG2.0 is easiest to conceal. Echelon was fun, reliable, consistent and has great irons. One thing I didn’t like was slide release which I was riding and preventing slide lock back on last round.
I think it will make a good ccw, given it’s almost same size as xmacro (a bit ticker, longer slide/barrel, and slightly shorter grip with mag inserted)
Good buy for $639 in my opinion

And yes, I need more practice

I've been using my 4.0C at the NRG Shoots. I want to get as much shooting done with it since I'm adding it to my CCW when it renews in November and plan to make it my primary carry pistol.

I really like the gun.
