hey yall,

Anyone in the pasadena area got a sight pusher they'd be willing to let me use to install some sights. Just need to install some sights on a pistol. Nothing crazy. Could pay in cold beers for the time.

Installing iron sights is one of those jobs I’d gladly pay a gunsmith to handle, especially when working with third-party sights and slides. Not only does it take careful fiddling to avoid scratching the slide, but some setups require filing the sight before using a pusher. Too little filing can strip the pusher’s threads, while too much can cause the sight to come loose during firing.

It’s all about patience
 
If you put some moly paste on the dove tail of the sight and a little in the groove it goes into, it makes it so much easier. No grinding necessary.

And I bought my own sight pusher. Well worth the money spent.
 
I used some gun butter and that helped. I didn’t have a the front Glock sight tool so I stopped by the Firing Pin in Temple City. He did it while I waited
