Oregon proposal to outlaw hunting, fishing and other animal activities misses first ballot hurdle. So stupid!!

I can’t believe it made it that far. I love to fly fish in Oregon. I try go every year and when I do I proudly purchase a 3 day fishing license. By doing so, I’m supporting not only their local economy, but also their dept of fish and game which uses those funds for preservation, research and protection of those resources for future generations. The initiative still requires another round of signature verification, but I think it’s safe to say it’s gonna fall flat on its ass.

I think the only reason it is failing to go forward is due to fishing was included in the ban. If it was hunting only, it would have been a done deal by now.

Even in Portland this bill wouldn't pass, vegans make up less than 1 % of the population and this bill affects farming along with hunting and fishing. Portland is all about meat and the outdoors.
Umm, seriously? The blue hairs of Portland are the epicenter for this type nonsense. So it must have been the good voters of the red areas of this 2024 election map. “ Portlanders” are all meat eating, hunters? 😆😆😆 Boy, I do have to thank you. I needed a good laugh!

Definitely not true, hunting has actually increased in popularity over the past 40 years, nationally only 12% oppose hunting. Portland loves farm to table and hunting for food type thing

If you’d like to donate your time or money, here’s the address to their campaign headquarters. Little bit of a commute though, it’s In Portland OR

I understand the facts. I don’t need to defend something that’s clearly stupid just because it comes from the retards and bleeding hearts who share my political view. Come on. Portland has nothing to do with this? Smarten up bud. You’ve been proven wrong. Tuck your tail and walk away.

Are there more vegans in Portland than your retirement community? Sure. But it's probably 2% vs the less than 1%. This is a wildly unpopular bill and even if the only voters were Portland voters it wouldn't pass. Not by a long shot.

Take note here, you’ve been shown multiple pieces of hard evidence that your opinion is wrong, and yet you still defend your position. Then you resort to insults ( you have no clue what my age is) because you have no evidence to support your position other than your personal feelings. And this can be applied to any political subject. This is the very essence of what’s wrong in this country. Thank you for showing me exactly who you really are. I avoid people who can’t think clearly for themselves.

My initial reply to you was that this bill wouldn't pass in Portland, I think you are having a different argument with someone else.
