Hi everybody,

I'm trying to be good, but I just went to the Turners website to see what they got going on for Labor Day sales and there it was, a couple of CA compliant Sig P211s. I guess for preorders. I'm trying to conserve, but maybe these recent additions are a good "problem" to have. Anyone heard anything about how good they are? They're about $2100.

I could sell some of my guns that don't fit my hands as well as others, eat rice and beans for a while, donate blood...

Not a fan of the platform in general?

I like the idea of 10+1 9mm and I know people can get argumentative about the ''11 grip safety. I kind of like it.

Also, I noticed a bunch of guns just joined the roster today. Like I said, ohhh đź’©!

Reviews seem good and Sig in general makes great firearms so I don't see it being a dud. The fact it shares mags with the P320 is huge, I won't even really have to buy mags if I don't want to. That alone is hundreds of dollars in spare mags to keep around. To me, being able to swap in parts without everything being ultra hand fitted is a plus.

Had a STI Edge back in the day, didn’t blow my skirt up for the price. Messed with all the “production” 2011/DS 1911’s I could get my hands on while I lived in Dallas. None of them felt good in the hand, none of them would I trust my life to compared to pistols that cost 1/2 to 1/3 of the price. I don’t compete, especially at a level it’s going to matter compared to my Shadow 2 which feels amazing. Tact on the crowd that they attract and I just never got it. The sigs where just hitting the ranges and a buddy grabbed a GT4 before I moved, felt good, shot good, was not insane price wise compared to my Shadow. That being said I still didn’t buy one before moving here and don’t regret that choice at all.

I really do like the 2011 platform. An innovation on the time honored 1911 (Which I love) But am always bothered by the limited capacity 7 or 8 rounds that the 2011's solved, Sort of if you don't live in California and can buy HCM. Never considered buying a Sig but I do like the looks of it.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge. The carry Shadow 2 looks really nice. Maybe my relatives in other states can get one, dang it.
