Official M1A thread.

Springfield Loaded stainless with poly stock. Added a Sadlak scope mount and Sadlak guide rod. Threw a PA 4x14 scope on it since my eye is messed up and can't really use the NM peep sight.

Found someone getting rid of a wood stock so I swapped to that since the poly stock feels sloppy. Added an adjustable cheek riser.

Then decided to have fun and replaced with the scope with an Eotech EXPS2 and 3x magnifier. Also replaced the trigger group with ShootingSight adjustable setup and worked over the safety lever a bunch. Such a nicer trigger now. It's a blast at carbine matches.

Finally got the faux selector done, it was a combination of the Fulton Armory's unit and USGI parts. It might have been easier just starting from scratch with USGI parts. Will re-park it eventually.

Absolutely love this set up!! I have heard it said the mounting systems sitting so low over the action tend to cause failure to extract jams. Have you experienced this?

My current build. Looking into changing the chasis tho.

Loving all the rifles getting posted as it's my favorite US Military design, It was chosen to replace the M1 Garand and the BAR with one rifle. I'm a purist at heart so I keep mine as close to what was issued but the build-out's are really cool to see.
That being said I picked up another GI issue M2 Bi-Pod last year, 1st pattern, well marked & in excellent condition along with a 59 dated Springfield rod cleaning set in the tube & a mint 67 US MRT sling.
DM me if any interest.
