Odd email from Optics Planet

Even more odd is an email from Optics Planet that says your order (placed less than 27 days before) "Shipped". We all know that simply does not happen and your account has been hacked.

The main problem with Amazon is that they focus on key words in the product description to determine POTENTIAL illegality. The best example is anything related to night vision. Amazon has decided that it is easier to ban anything related to night vision than to interpret the actual laws. This results in any red dot scope being banned if the description mentions that it is night vision compatible. Some marketplace sellers have figured this out and leave out the offending text making the product available in CA.
 
Amazon search sucks donkey balls. They'd reduce their returns by 50% if they showed search results that "fit" your search terms and not the random potpourri its been for years. I gave up caring- just order everything that looks "close enough" to my search and drop the rest off (opened/packaging shredded apart) at the UPS store.

well yeah you think they are gonna pay a human to review these things? they only need humans to pack boxes and fix the robots.

i honestly prefer optics planet to most sites. they do like to post things that will be on backorder. you learn to pay attention to that stuff, but if you get something backordered it will come eventually, they wont charge you until it ships and they will send an email to let you know its shipping and a charge will process soon. i almost always get a better deal on items from them then anywhere else that i look and i have returned a few things for free without issue.
