Question Noob Question: How to convert CZ SPO1 to SAO/flat face trigger?

Looking to convert my SPO1 (w/safety) to a SAO with flat face trigger.

Videos online look quite complicated or confusing on the process and I will probably hire a gun smith.

I have a SAO trigger and my understanding is I can just switch the trigger shoe and be good to go but removing the disconnect is optional.

1. What are all the parts I need?
2. What website can I get them from that will ship to CA?
3. Know any good gunsmiths in socal?
4. Do you like flat face SAO spo1?

I do this work in So-Cal.
Swapping to an adjustable SAO trigger and properly adjusting the trigger is all it takes.
Taking apart and putting a CZ 75 type back together can be "fun" the first time you do it.

While it's apart, I would also switch out the springs to get a better trigger break even with the rest of the gun having stock fire control parts.
Something like this kit is what you want for a manual safety SP-01:

Polishing the moving parts of the fire control while it's apart is also helpful.

I remember the first time I did one about 25 years ago.
I finally found that trigger return spring a couple years after I had already bought and installed a new one.

I did mine and also installed CGW race hammer and adjustable disconnector. Not difficult but if you are unsure,have it done by a hire. Get rid of the firing pin block. Go to CZ forums. Tutorials there.

I did this once and screwed up. I pay gun smiths for this fiddly work now. I can put ruger mk ii/iii’s back together and this drove me up the wall.

Awesome! Just need to drive to 2A zone to get the parts, now do I need that lighter spring or is the stock recoil spring fine? Looking to keep it stock as possible

Yeah you are right next to where I work!

The recoil spring does not need to be changed.
The long blue spring in the cajun kit is a slightly lightened hammer spring which reduces the hammer's force on the sear and equates to a lighter trigger pull.
If you get that Cajun kit above, make sure to add on the floating trigger pin as that's needed after knocking out the original trigger pin that was staked into the frame and is typically not re-used.

The recoil spring does not need to be changed.

If you get that Cajun kit above, make sure to add on the floating trigger pin as that's needed after knocking out the original trigger pin that was staked into the frame and is typically not re-used.

Gotcha, I own a few new factory trigger pins. So the one currently can be tossed and new one placed, sounds good!

I will pick up the parts tmrw from 2a zone I think, what day could I drop off the pistol?

How do you like it?

Well once I got it working good...(Had an issue with a false reset) it's awesome, in conjunction with a dpm spring it's a joy to shoot...very accurate one of my favorite pistols
