Anyone in the desert areas interested in practical shooting or ccw skills and drills training/practice?
I haven't found anyone to shoot with to help push me to get better.
All my friends just want to plink and I cannot get them to try and excel at shooting.
They roll their eyes when I pull out a timer...
Anyone with some ambition or willingness to push themselves?

Newberry Springs is about 15 miles outside of Barstow.
The San Bernardino Desert areas include Victorville, Hesperia, Adelanto, Apple Valley, Oro Grande, Hodge, Lenwood, Barstow, Nebo, Ft. Irwin, Yermo, Daggett, Newberry Springs, Harvard, etc...

Im pretty sure on this but i do hope incorrect. I think it is only legal to shoot shotguns in that area (Newberry Springs) east of the 15 and then only during the correct hunting season…. Im not sure about shooting on privet property. Dont really know…. And yup when ya break out a timer heads do roll. I still break it out though 😎

I’m currently looking at NV monoculars so if I get one, I’d be down for night shooting
Very Cool.
NV or not, night shooting is an important skill. 1/3 of our life is lived in the dark.

Message me if you want to come out and run skills and drills with flashlights or NV.

Had a CAgunner come out to the range today.
As expected, shooting with someone competent has clearly exposed my weak shooting.
Something about the added pressure of just another shooter forces overconfirmation of the dot and all kinds of unconscious delays.

Despite my underwhelming performance, we both managed to work the drill times down significantly and really pushed until we were missing.
I appreciate the Pistol and PCC work today. Lots to do in dryfire...

Anyone else?
