I am going to take a 4 day P.O.S.T. certified course that will cert me for DOJ and BSIS instructor as well.

It been years since I had the need for a duty belt and holster.

I'll probably be picking up a new duty style pistol such as one of the P320 variants that takes optics as my old P226 isnt going to cut the mustard for this class.

I need recommendations on a new duty/battle belt and recommendations for holsters, what level retention, mag carrier, anything else you recommend.

Also if there is any gear to definately stay away from please share as I don't want any failures of gear without the ability to replace them.

Even though I'm not looking into competion I do want good quality gear and havbe no issue spending a little extra if needed.

I like the Agilite Magnetix battle belt. Its magnet alignment system is nice.

There's a lot of options to choose from and most of them are all gonna be solid choices so a lot comes down to personal preference and how you like to set your belt up. For myself I like Blue Alpha Gear belts with T.Rex mag carriers and T.Rex holsters if I want passive retention, Safariland if I want active. I also like Velocity Systems dump pouch, Esstac TQ holder and Blue Force Gear micro trauma kits.

Those are just my personal favs, but there's a number of companies to choose from. Ferro, Haley Strategic, Ronin Tactics, etc. Take your pick.

Heading up here on Saturday. https://www.tacticalproshop.com/
Was recommended by the instructors of the class. Called spoke with the owner about what I needed and so far they really seem to care about getting you in the right and appropriate fitting gear. he's already putting stuff aside for me, feel like I'm going to get fitted for a custom suit.

I'll report back

its a great shop and the staff are good people. I forgot the owner's name but he and his staff helped me put together a belt/pouches/holster.

Lead Devil Belts, hands down! Best belts I've used for duty, competition, and range use. Yes, I have a few of them...
