So they force renewals to drive to essentially South LA to pick up a card? I wonder if they intend to do that to all of the out of state applicants that they are now under court order to process?

Based on their timeline for processing resident applications, seems like they'll have a few years to figure that out for the nonresidents.

Oregon does in person fingerprint and picture. So California can adopt that process for non residents.

I had my LASD phone interview on 7/9/2024 and am still waiting on the proceed to training email. Anyone have any updates on where they're at?

When did you submit your application? Most people that get their interviews early are put on hold because there are still applications submitted earlier than theirs to be processed.

Omni, submitted 7/12/23. I see where your app was several months prior. Used to be that 3 months was the "norm" until one got the PTT email I can't believe that LASD is so behind.

Submitted mine Feb of 2023 and I received my call not until Nov of 2024. So yeah looks like you got your interview call too early that they set your application back. I know someone who was about the same timeline as mine and our application dates are aligned to the timeline.

I had my phone interview 7/2/2024, and I’m also still waiting on PTT email

LA County CCW depending on agency that issues can take anywhere from 9-26 months from start to finish. Orange County on the other hand can can 4-6 months as OCSD issues for all of OC! Some of you need to look into the below penal code, why do you think that LA County tells you what to do and when to do it, they do not want you to have a completed application! This has been taken to court and only the plaintiffs were issued earlier than others, if I recall correctly!

CA Penal Code section 26205

You can also get effed in the arse, applied June 2022, received it 1/15/25.

They are still working on paper applications. 2 more weeks.
Congratulations!

Did they tell you something about two weeks?

I applied three weeks before you and still haven't received the PTT. I'm pretty sure the application or website said they process applications in the order received, but that's obviously not true.
