Guess this is being done under the new civil liability for "firearm industry members"?

It’s election year. I’d like for the site to be a model of how to do it lawfully. I’m guessing they will continue to press sites that are careless. We take the long road and give our best effort to follow all the guidelines.

“This groundbreaking lawsuit shows that our office is not bound by the old playbook. Similar to these defendants, we think creatively, but our aim is to protect public safety rather than obstruct it,” said Attorney General Rob Bonta.

This tells me they’re very serious about it. They are going after places that cause problems. This site is built to be an asset to the community by sharing and spreading information about safety, training, and updates about current laws.

Our membership should hit ~60k by EOY with a wide range of law abiding professionals from white collar and blue collar workers, Electricians, Plumbers, HVAC, Doctors, Lawyers, Engineers, Tradesmen, Accountants, Business owners, Farmers, Retail Professionals, Service workers, LEO, MIL, and other first responders who all try to do the right thing. The depth of trades I’ve seen here is deep.

All you can do really is try to color in the lines to stay of lists.

I can't see how they'd have any hope of this law standing up to scrutiny since it violates multiple precedents and amendments. But, their process of throwing so many laws at the 2A side and letting them sit as we spend decades undoing them is just going to be how they proceed regardless. We'll never get to undo this 💩 as fast as they're able to do it.

I mean this respectfully as an honest question, so do not read any sarcasm into this question, please:
What’s your point?
That the CA DOJ is “taking this seriously” - what do you mean exactly? What do you see happening further down the road?

So what’s the plan to fight, undermine, resist, disobey, and overturn this bull💩 law?

It’s literally a defacto ban on ALL gun parts and accessories - both by nature of the bill itself (and the “unintended” consequences which were absolutely 100% INTENDED). And because of the ID requirements - which, most postal / shipping carriers do not have the infrastructure for, so many shipping companies aren’t even accepting packages at all, as I understand it. From the few companies that are even shipping parts still…..

1263 + 704 should be easy to overturn…right?!?

Somewhere else I saw somebody make mention that “laws like this have been attempted many times over the past 40 years but they were easily overturned.”Will that be the case with AB 1263 and 704???

Not a ban but it is a restriction. People are still buying things ban mean ban.

My point is its an election year and they are throwing lawsuits out to be in the news cycle. Otherwise how would they get exposure against people they're running against? So we take a conservative approach vs liberal.
