Im still a fan of holosun. Eps or the scs320 is cool. If i has the extra cash id check the primary arms hlx1. The body guard is small id run it as is. I think the dot would be more annoying over all with fitment.

Defender XL might be a little wide for carry; same with Holosun 507 COMP .

If you want a competition size window optic for carry; SRO would not be a bad compromise.

I have one on my carry, the optic size makes zero difference in carry-ability.

I meant minimizing printing during the summer time. Winter time probably no issue with a hoodie. Sorry I should have been more specific.

I think it would come down to personal preference. But then yet again, my IA doesn’t even allow optics. So I havnt even started carry with optics yet. For me I would prefer a Romeo x pro, 509t, or rcr.

the difference in size between a small and a large optic is basically a few millimeters, most poeple just don't like when the optic sticks off the sides of the slide, but they really need to get over that. But you aren't wearing a tight ass shirt if you are carrying anyway so that couple of millimeters just doesn't matter, your belt is still sticking out more than the optic.

Yeh, I noticed I needed to up my shirt size from tight shirt sizes ever since I started carrying. Went from a xxs or a xs; to a relaxed fit small. Yes, you are right on the belt bulging out more; especially with a NOT slim frame.

I noticed I am more relaxed when wearing a hoodie. When wearing a polo shirt during the summer time I noticed I kind of suck in my belly a little bit when talking to others; such as at the grocery store or the neighbors.

The wedge helps a little too on pushing on the groin fat.

So, adding even a little bit can make the difference. Also my work clothes involve polo shirts tucked in. This complicates things. While my work doesn't allow firearms, there is times I'm still in my work clothes after work like driving home or stopping at the store on the way, etc. or if I'm running errands during work, would be nice to still have some protection even if it's in the form of pocket carry and it does seem like an optic can make this more difficult

And there is no way outside of winter I could conceal the full sized M&P. So that will be relegated to outside the waistband where allowed

Is it the p365 micro? Or the x-macro? Which p365? Which grip and grip length?

I’ve been playing around with the Oem stock p365 micro in a holster at home; it actually conceals better for me girth wise compared to the Glock 26 on the permit.

It comes down to the holster too. I am testing out the p365 micro in a slightly used tier 1 apx side car I bought here second hand. Overall it’s a thin holster. For comfort, I am trying out the p365 micro in a gunfighters inc solace which is a kydex with a leather backing against the skin; this holster is a little bulkier.

What are you struggling with for the printing? Is it bulging from belly forward?

Or is it the end of the frame rotating outwards? This you can fix with a wing of your choice. Which holster are you using?

I started out with the gun fighters inc wraith and solace holsters. I chose them to start out with since I first found out about them because I needed a lightweight background chest holster; they were known for their kenai chest holster. Supposedly that’s how their company started and is known for. The solace is very comfortable against the skin but bulkier; girth wise. I carry Glocks so it’s not slim frame. My problem is bulge but noticed sucking in my gut helps. My problem with compact Glock, is the end of frame rotating outwards or slightly poking out the side.

Recently I have been carrying ksg armory Lexington with the raven concealment wing to help rotate the frame back towards the side of the belly; but then it adds a little more bulge to the mid point since it’s more aggressive with its rotation. That wing is best for full size frame handguns or longer things.

I can conceal better now during the summer with both subcompact and compact Glock in a relaxed fit polo shirt.

I am now rotating the gun fighters inc holsters for colder weather carry with a hoodie or hoodie with collared jacket on top.

I can’t carry at work too. Mainly on city property. But when I’m not on city property for work; I still havnt became comfortable enough to carry at work since it’s blue collar work where certain angles or positions I may be discovered. Or I might be on a ladder and the guy footing the ladder might see it under my shirt if they look up; or it might just be me too overly conscious. However, for non-city property, we don’t have a policy against firearms or carrying firearms; I hear it’s probably because they don’t think anyone would ever carry to work since they are thinking pre-bruen days.

put the gun in a holster and you will see that the optic isn't the thing that sticks out, the holster and your belt will be sticking further out, the back of the slide is where your shirt generally falls and then of course the grip. The reality is you probably can't carry appendix with a tucked in tight shirt, you need it to billow out at least little bit. Watch the video here and look at the optic and also the considerations for carrying appendix with clothing. I would look into a fanny pack/shoulder bag kind of thing for when you can't wear looser clothing. But also consider that printing isn't illegal so you don't need to obsess over it.

Very similar situation doing maintenance. Bending, squatting, ladders, picking stuff up, too many positions that would make carrying at work so difficult.

honestly I kind of hate carrying appendix, if I'm driving around and getting in and out I just use a fanny pack. carrying everywhere is a huge pain in the ass

I have a small zipper tool pouch that I use for that. Doesn't look anything gun related. Looks like I might have a few tools in it. Not the best, but it never draws any unwanted attention

I'm not sure it would make a difference tbh, I usually wear a Polo and it's been 100 outside and the only part that will print at all is the grip, not the optic and the RCR is pretty big.

+1 to this and also not obsessing over printing. With a compact handgun and a tight polo the grip will definitely print a bit, however nobody ever notices. If I got skinny again it would probably be even less noticeable
