I was at the range today and met Joey Sauerland.

Apparently, he likes California! Is there anyone in LEO that would like to have Joey come out? We’re looking to bring him to California to help train Peace Officers and also for enthusiasts to train with one of the top professionals in the country!

One of the areas CAguns is looking to go is to provide training resources for the community.

Please contact me if you’re interested. I think this could be a good way for CAguns to help leverage our network to make communities safer.

OP where are you located? We need a range to host. I would go take one of his classes

I am also interested. Are you planning anything in southern California
If we can find a coordinator down there, we can help set it up. I want to help build a network for these instructors and shooters to get access to them when they come to CA so they can do California tour. It’s good for him and us.

Goal would be to get an annual schedule for different trainers/instructos to come through for LEO & Competition training

I know of a good private location. What do you need for a coordinator

Do we have a date or time in mind for this class yet?
No just met him today, getting a gauge to see if we should bring him in to Richmond and while he’s here anyone in SoCal might want to host as well.

Also trying to see if anyone can link me up with LEO training coordinators.

the range itself should be insured and not be personal property, better if it’s a public range.

Bays should preferably have 3 berms 20x25yards . 1-2 will work
Should be able to hold 10 people for 2 days

Coordinator should have hosted some instructors before at least for this go around while we build the process. It’ll keep things smoother.

if these were in socal at r66 for example, I would definitely join. I signed up for a class at prado with a uspsa M class shooter since it was the closest to me. richmond seems to be the range getting the heaviest hitters in california

I’m the main organizer up here for those. I would love to bring them down to SoCal but performance shooting isn’t quite as popular.

I’m always looking for people to help me host it. I can call any one of these guys and set up something but they do have guarantees I have to meet.

If you see these guys shoot though and then see yourself after. It’s worth the class. You save years of time and thousands in rounds because you learn what to train on.

The hardest part is being consistent since for most people it’s an occasional thing like few times a year.

What guarantee do you have to meet? Like amount of people in the class?

Yes, with a dollar amount.. These guys aren't cheap. They come from around the country, so sometimes its a bit stressful
Gotcha. I like taking classes, competition shooting and am into it, so hopefully he comes to SoCal one day.
