It’s been two weeks, decided to see if Calguns is up and running…

I would very much like to be able to use VPN and this site when I am already logged in. I feel like that shouldn’t be too much of a problem.
 
Also just logged into Calguns. First time in a while.

I learned how to shoot from that site and then training.

Unfortunately, if you see the blocked message it means your network contains scammers who actively attacked the site. I won't open up international VPN's for a CA specific website. Users are already required to be logged in. This is why our scam rate is low.

The other option is to require a credit card payment prior to listing which we won't do because then you pay for the listing.

It is a bit of a burden, but we end up filtering a lot of scam listings and scammers in general.

We could be bigger but the headaches are a lot bigger too with numerous scammers who bombard the site with bad listings and contacting users. That ends up creating a lot more work and complaints and shifts the work onto the site vs. you turning off your vpn and putting the work on you.
 
I am able to get into it intermittently with no rhyme or reason… Finally got into the message center but then it froze again. Very frustrating…

That’s fair. It’s too bad; I have to use some wifi that is monitored and filtered at times, and would prefer vpn for privacy.
 
It’s a hit or miss for me. Sometimes loading of fast and quick while other times it’s a buffering problem and times out. Man….. sorry to see the way things went with Calguns. It because of that site that got me into shooting.
