never needed a dot. iron sights are more than enough for fast shooting even out to 50 yards.. compact and snag free

This makes sense to me, the dot does add noticeable bulk and weight and then it can end up pressing against your belt loop. It makes sense on my PDP Compact but I like the smooth smaller profile of the P2000SK. And within 10 yards on a human sized target it shouldn't make any difference. at 50 yards I will absolutely shoot better with a red dot lol

I regret skipping on p2000sk when turners was selling them for $450 . Picked up Betetta px4 for $300 after cash rebate tho.

I carry an hk p30sk and no dot. I don’t like micros, have carried full size with lights and optics but this is it for me. Comfortable and I shoot it well enough for ccw use.

Great taste... they are essentially identical guns but it's nice the P2000SK has smooth sides on the grip so it doesn't rub me

OC used to ban lasers.... I think originally they thought people would be more likely to pull a gun and "paint" the person with a laser as a deterrent.
To the original post I have a mixed bag on my CCW's of Irons/Optics ... Lights v No Light.

Red dots on most rifles. Some prisms and added more prisms on new rifles and slowly swapping out my regular dots. Due to eyes and star bursting.

Been shooting for awhile and never needed dots on my CCW guns. I shoot very well with irons. With better fiber optic irons, very simple to get on target fast and accurately. As I get older like less crap on my CCW guns and lighter. Even on HD bigger pistols, lights and good high viz irons and night sights good for me. But for rifles, definitely yes except for some older guns or some AKs.

That’s what it said on permitium. I got hold off someone at ccw unit and asked what was the reason. Officer said it was state policy.
I politely disagreed, he said he personally doesn’t care and state will have to approve firearms on permit. But if I so sure there is no state requirement to go ahead and apply, and see what happens.
2 out of 3 I applied with off roster (P01 and P365)
Submitted references and training 5 weeks ago . Waiting now

It's crazy to me how they just make up rules out of thin air. It's insane.
