I don't have a personal knowledge of that.
Keep in mind for CADOJ to seize something it needs to be in your inventory at the time of your audit and you need to be lacking a permit that would exempt you from having them.

In most cases during the audit they will see guns sold that may of not been legal and go from there.

Things cost and are worth more in California it just doesn't seem that a raw being transferable would make any sense like pre 86 today. It’s a complete waste of money. Those that were able to cash out on those are lucky and smart. They’re cool though especially the obscure and ww2 stuff.

When gunguytv had the retired agent on and he said best thing is to seperate a upper from lower. It was literally a relief from anxiety and always having to keep up with the constant compliance changes.
Even if having to be stored this way or added compliance. Prices always go up so if you eventually move they might be 3-5 times more expensive then if you wait to buy. Sometimes the reverse no one cares about that stuff anymore. Always better to buy reverse of trends anyway and sell if uou want when trending this goes for anything. For occasional trips or eventual move I think disassembled, compliant build, or compliant factory option is still best.
There is no prestige to raw arguably for pre 86 either. I don’t see younger generations unable to afford. I see it as no interest or money spent on life experiences vs hobbies. No real benefit more red tape for both.

The 211 GTO defiantly meet the definition of an AW.
There are a few Atlas Erebus that are also threaded barrels and 100% illegal. People are just banking on FFL's not knowing the platform or in the cases I see they only come in to PPT the frame and hand over the slide/barrel in the parking lot.

In the CALGUNS.net days all those posts would of been removed but here they just allow it. I know Ikeo has said they have removed some or make them put a disclaimer that the firearm is "unassembled" but new ones are posted weekly.

I've also seen banned by name AR's listed. Being posted in classified does not make it legal.
