I was mainly near the June Lake area. It was my first time exploring the area instead of go there for work and come back. I had LAANC authorization to fly at Hot Creek Geological site. It's about 1 mile from Mammoth Airport. The last time I was in the area for work flying my drone, some Karen called the rangers on me. I'll definitely be back to explore the area more...

Gorgeous place. Excellent hiking and backpacking from Mosquito Flats (10k feet elevation).

I've climbed a number of mountains in the Eastern Sierra. Whitney, White, Williamson, North Palisade, and a few more. The Ancient Bristol Pine Cone Forest is incredible, some of the oldest living organisms on planet earth. It's a really neat spot to travel to.

4 wheel drive gets one to the best spots. Deadman Pass off the top of the Devils Postpile road is great. Pretty easy, go up over 10,000 feet with fabulous views of the Minarets.

Laurel Lakes road goes up into a hidden canyon with a nice lake. It's a great white knuckle ride.

Dunderburg peak road off Virginia Lakes goes up to nearly 11,000 feet. Great flat area on top for long distance target shooting without obstacles. Bullets fly further and flatter up there.

The Boy Scout road off Tioga past Lee Vining goes up to 9000 feet with wonderful views of Mono Lake.

I did that last year. Coming from 100ft elevation I was cooked lol. It's so nice up there though.
