I have to get a new CDL just to order gun stuff by mail. Infuriating.

I can't even get an AirTag holder or a CR2032 battery case. I guess if they're Picatinny mounted I'm up to something bad.

My current CDL has my PO Box. Now I have to get another CDL, but only if they keep my home street address private. I think I can do it, still... it's DMV. I have to find the right person to talk to. Their website is a mess. I don't want my info posted online.

I have to pay up, wait, hope that the picture of my CDL I send electronically doesn't get compromised, and make sure I am at home at the time of delivery, thread that needle.

I believe the California DMV only allows one active driver’s license per person. However, you can have both a driver’s license and a state ID card, and they may show different addresses.

Print one of these out and sign it. Print a copy of your driver's license with the right address. Leave them both in your mailbox. Worked for my delivery this morning. Good as a hand signature. https://about.usps.com/forms/ps3801.pdf
Great info if this works. I haven’t had anything that requires a signature sent yet but I recently purchased something and gave the seller the local post office address and when he mailed it out he let them know it would need to be held at the post office for me to pick up.

Pretty sure your license should be to a permanent residence anyways. PO Boxes do not count. You can have a PO Box as your mailing address but your license should display your permanent residence.

I order so much stuff my mailman has just started saying I signed and delivering it, even when I haven’t signed.

Nothing wrong with PO Box in your CDL, it's still allowed. You will have problems with fire arms related deliveries if it's not a REAL ID.

Thank you, everybody! I'll follow up with what works for me.

I use a PO BOX so if I lose it, someone can just toss it in a mail box. Hopefully the USPS still will get it back to me. That used to be the policy.
