How early can ccw renewal class be completed?

San Diego Sheriff site indicated renewals can be submitted 60 days prior to expiration.

How early can I complete my 8h renewal class for my ccw renewal? It would be convenient for me if I could complete the class 90-100 days before my ccw expires.
 
You'll find the IA has a pretty good pulse on it, after all they are in it daily. Most CCW classes are pretty knowledgeable as well, but exactly "how early" is entirely up to your IA (as noted above). Keep in mind too the availability to get in a class- if things are backed up the class/how soon dates may not work- that makes for an easy email to your IA with that information.

It’s based on ‘written approval date”.

The Sheriff's Office cannot require you to take your safety course prior to your application being approved. You may contact one of the approved vendors once your initial fee & fingerprints have been submitted; however the final weapons qualification and your CCW Qualification Certificate must be within 6 months of your written approval date.

You’ll have to guess when that will be in relation to your expiry date

If you are in SD the renewal time line is 7-8 weeks once you submit it. The 6 weeks listed on their website is not accurate. Mine took 7 weeks 2 days.
 
SD Sheriff office is moving quick. I sent my renewal in July 3rd and was approved today. Payment sent in today as well. Sweet!
