I have a Springfield 1911 TRP Operator, Full Rail, .45 ACP.
I did a full disassembly and cleaning. After reassembly, the firing pin will not return to the ready position after a full cycle test.
I discovered this during the cycle test I ran after reassembly, as the Firing Pin Stop slid out of the slide during the racking motion.
I removed the slide and did an inspection. The firing pin remained in the fire/forward position, the spring did not return it to ready.
However, the spring seems to work as when I manually pushed it back into the bolt, it reset.
Any idea on what the issue may be?
