What should I buy?
Lvpo nova PA
or
1x microprism then adding a 3x magnification

Or just a 3x microprism but then I worry about up close shooting

16inch ar15 .223

For a good jack-of-all-trades build I like LPVO with top or offset RMR, but I'm coming full circle back to Trijicon ACOG, particularly the TA02 + RMR combo. It's light, fast and easy to use. Love it.

I was leaning very heavily for a LPVO. But then I saw the microprisims. I think the 3x is a budget trijicon 😆 🤣.

If you're referring to Primary Arms microprism, that with a reflex sight combo would still be a very respectable budget option. Primary Arms are excellent quality for the money.

Yes. That's precisely what I mean. That way I could flip from 1x to 3x. But what if I get a 3x and then a piggymount?

Yes, that's what I'm suggesting. Get a 3x PA for shooting at range and making precise shots, and then pick whatever kind of offset or 12 o'clock RDS mount you want for fast <50-100 yd acquisition. It's a great, versatile combo that doesn't eat up a lot of rail space or add a bunch of weight to the rifle.
