Has anyone here sent their irons sights back to Trijicon to re-lamp the tritium lamps?

The lamps on my FNX-45 are dead. Thinking about sending them to Tijicon for re-lamping. They estimate the cost to be about $60.

Did you remove your sights or send the entire slide? How did it all work out for you?

I would send the slide, but you should ask Trijicon since they are handling it. I need to do that in a couple years

Bright & Tough™, HD™, and DI™ Night Sights:​

Green tritium lamps are warranted to glow for twelve (12) years from date of original manufacture. For Bright & Tough Night sights with alternate color rear lamps, yellow lamps are warranted for 12 years and orange lamps are warranted for 5 years from date of original manufacture. All other night sight families come with all green lamps.

Please note that tritium will dissipate over time. This is normal and is not covered under warranty if deemed to be in line with standard dissipation progression. Trijicon does offer the option to re-lamp Trijicon iron sights if sights are not under warranty and new lamps are requested.



I don't like overworking the metal on my slides, so I'd send the whole slide.

But I'm overly cautious and would also pay for a buttload of insurance (like full replacement value of the gun) to make sure it arrives safely.

Probably safer to just send the sights; if it gets lost at least you can just buy new sights without needing to buy a new slide. If you sent the slide to them, would they charge you a disassembly fee or reject the service?
