Any shooting comparison? Same caliber, same gun for all, 200 rounds per per se? And keep light on until batteries drain?
To check failures due to heat or recoil. If it gets too hot letting batteries deplete, will that F with the internal wiring?
Warranty in case of failures, how does Braun 3 month warranty compare to 1 year Warranty that is common on rest?

Appreciate the constructive feedback, those are all fair questions and valid test points.

For my videos, the goal is to keep comparisons accessible (and free) and repeatable for most viewers, rather than turning them into full endurance or destructive testing. There are already creators doing extended live-fire and failure-point testing, which definitely has value, but it also pushes into a different category of review that requires significantly more time, ammo, and budget. I fund nearly all of this myself and provide the content free, so I try to balance realism with practicality.

That said, all of these lights are mounted on my firearms and are being used regularly. I’m currently shooting over 1,000 rounds per month, so they’re being exposed to recoil and heat, just not in the specific, controlled way you’re suggesting.

Recoil and heat tolerance are absolutely relevant concerns. In real-world use, however, most weapon lights aren’t run continuously until battery depletion or subjected to prolonged heat soak with the light left on nonstop. In decades of carrying and shooting, that hasn’t been my use case. Continuous-on drain tests can reveal design or wiring weaknesses, but they can also introduce conditions that don’t always reflect typical defensive or duty use. Given that I purchase most of this gear myself, intentionally pushing products to failure isn’t something I can realistically do at this point.

Warranty is also a good point to bring up. A shorter warranty doesn’t automatically mean a product is worse, but it does factor into overall value. Practical warranty experience matters too. Being able to walk into a local store and exchange a failed light the same day can sometimes outweigh a longer written warranty that involves shipping, long turnaround times, or limited communication.

Nah, I have both and the HF one is definitely cheaper made in certain areas...mainly the battery tray and the screw down portion that torques the light to the gun.

That being said, the performance is on par with my other TLR-1HLs and it has yet to fail me in the 500+ rounds I've put the light through. The HF light is great bang for your buck.

I have a guitar/amp channel as well that I've made videos for years on. Those videos took so much more time and effort and have an even less appreciative audience than pew content, lol. That's why I just decided to make pew related content instead. Still plenty of trash talkers, but overall a lot more engagement and much easier to make content.
 
any reliability issues so far?

Curious what calibers you have run it on and how many rounds.

Throw it on a 12 gauge for funzies and see how it holds up.
