Question Gunsmith Rec for Turning a contoured barrel blank SD/OC/LA

Hey all, I'm looking for a recommendation for a gun smith to turn and chamber a contoured barrel blank for one of my bolt action rifles in SD or OC/LA. Would love to hear of any first hand accounts. Looking to re-barrel a Ruger American Gen 2. or Tikka T3x.

I also live in SD and open to driving to OC/LA but local would be great.

I've chatted with Randall via email a little. Sounds like he does great work but hoping for a rec closer to home.

Have someone closer to you do the work if the driving distance is more important to you than the quality of the work.
I know there are shops in san diego that do it because several san diego shooters have brought me their guns to be fixed after san diego shops worked on them.
I charge more when I am fixing other people's work because it's more work to fix it than to do it right the first time.

I wonder if those are the same shops I see dumping rifles on gunbroker.

Been a stream of odd actions with a premium barrel blank screwed onto them the past decade. I got the vibe it was like premium racing rims on a Geo Metro.

I emailed him in regards to some questions I had involving a re-barrel using a contoured blank. Once I get some details and figure out what to order I'll definitely have him do the work.

I recommend fine firearms in La Mesa. He just finished up my first bolt gun build in 6BR and am about to shoot it at the end of the month when I have time. It took a while to get my build done only cause of lead times on defiance and brux barrels. If you want more info give them a call and ask for John, he’s the owner and gunsmith at the store. He walked me through everything from start to finish and have no complaints so far.
If I remember to I’ll post an update after first shots through my rifle but I’ll include pictures of his rifle and groups he has displayed in the shop
