What division does the Fusion XP Pro Comp (with optic) fall under in IDPA? Assume it fits in the box and meets the weight criteria.
I usually shoot USPSA where any comp is open division but curious where this gun lies as it:
My logical thought process would be to ask the questions:
Curious what you guys think since I’m not familiar with how IDPA does their ruling.
Thanks in advance
I usually shoot USPSA where any comp is open division but curious where this gun lies as it:
- Has Integral factory porting
- It is not permanently machined into the barrel like some integral designs (I.e. M&P 2.0 carry comp)
- The XP Pro Comp uses a factory-installed but removable compensator retained with screws/pins (not easily removable)
- Radian Ramjet-type systems that require tools and have generally been accepted under current interpretations.
My logical thought process would be to ask the questions:
- Was this pistol manufactured and sold as a compensated model? Yes.
- Is the compensator a factory-designed part of the barrel/front-end assembly? Yes.
- Can it be removed without tools? No.
Curious what you guys think since I’m not familiar with how IDPA does their ruling.
Thanks in advance
