The Firearm Safety Certificate Test is a requirement for individuals if they want to purchase or acquire a firearm in the state of California.

You must show proof of your Firearm Safety Certificate to the firearm dealer at time of potential purchase.

It may be redundant, but just to make sure for any LEO's who come to California and are still working law enforcement, you do NOT need this FSC card, or to take this test prior to purchasing a firearm in California.
