Unfortunately they already won a long time ago when the courts have refused to overturn California’s absolute affront to the constitution. Why we have to play the stupid 9th circuit game and can’t appeal directly to the Supreme Court is beyond me. What California is doing is a direct contravention of Bruen and we shouldn’t have to go through multiple appeals to get the court to enforce their own decision. It’s ridiculous. It feels like our wins never stick and every year the legislature comes up with more onerous infringements on our rights which they get to defend with our tax dollars. Sometimes the only way to win the game is to not play. And right now I’m not going to play the democrats’ stupid game and pay their stupid fees. Maybe I’ll change my mind later, but right now I’m going to focus my time and effort on getting out of California.

While the cost has gone up, I can't say the current set of restrictions, as limited by the current injunction, has really caused me much concern. I don't go out to eat at Chili's, etc. (much) or hang out in parks and the rest of the places I go are allowed.

Why is my car registration 500 bucks when in other states it's $60?
Why is gas around 5 bucks per gallon here when the same gas from California refineries sold in Arizona is over a dollar less?

You gotta pay to play! You can run and hide, or stand and fight! I choose the latter against criminals and this state. Look at most other states, they’re all headed in the same direction as California. It’s only a matter of time till Dems buy up all the other states as well
Because this state sucks and has too many idiots who vote against their own interests. Anyone who votes for higher taxes is dumb.

new ccw holder. during my classes the instructor stated while driving even with a ccw permit the firearm must be locked up. no glovebox, no fanny pack. hard locked container.
this is opposite of some of the information i've been reading here. and even garnered a good amount of pushback from people renewing in the class. but he was pretty confident about it. i'd like to not lock my gun up in the trunk like before, and have it on my person while driving or on my motorcycle.
i wasn't able to find anything non-anecdotal around this online. hoping you guys can help.

Maybe you misunderstood. You can drive with a holstered gun. If it is not on your person, it has to be in a lockbox and I believe the Democrats want the ammo in a separate container than the one holding the pistol. Beyond retarded.

That’s fine. I typically keep mine on me or in the center console while I’m driving. Loaded, of course.

Everything I've read says you can carry in your car. Even with passengers.
With passengers, if you remove the gun from your person, it must be inaccessible to passengers.
No passengers? You can have it stuck on a magnet under the dash. Not wise perhaps but, that's my understanding of past law.
