I don’t know, it seems as if my new addition looks too long. What do you guys think?

I stated in another post that damn thing would be touching 1/2 of my targets. Are you trying to make up for something else?
Who really cares how does it shoot; I guess longer range targets? Is that threaded into the barrel?

Yeah it definitely is long with it in the full length configuration. With it in the shortest configuration it is more manageable but still quiet with CCI quiet ammo. The quiet 710 fps ammo didn’t reliably cycle the action but the 835 fps version was 100%. Both were accurate as I could be and shot to point of the green dot on the optic for all distances I was shooting at the indoor range. CCI standard velocity and Standard plus were also extremely good. Winchester Super Suppressed ran okay but didn’t group up to my expectations. I’ll probably blow that stuff out in my old S&W 22a.

I will probably pick up another Scorpion with a shorter barrel and iron sights. Probably not a mini scorpion but one with the 4.5” barrel. It might not happen too soon as more suppressors are definitely on the list first.

Yeah, no doubt they should be a common item free for anyone to purchase. They should be mandatory at all indoor ranges to protect the hearing of fellow shooters.

Okay range report for the Mini Scorpion, she shoots just as good as the 6” Scorpion X, at least off hand at the distances we were shooting today. It was also just as quiet as the Scorpion X with the Switchback with the Sparrow on the Mini. Both don’t cycle using CCI quiet 710 fps ammo, with the 835 fps version was fine cycling and very quiet. The rest of the ammo shot good and was quiet, just not as quiet as the CCI quiet ammo. The balance of the Mini/sparrow combo is much better than the longer setup and has the same great 2.25# trigger break.

You don’t want a Scorpion, you want the Mamba. I also make them cheaper than you could buy.

I will tell you why I didn’t want a mamba, they use the plastic Ruger frame. Unless you want to spend more money on a Tandem Kross frame to add to the cost of a Volquartsen upper. The frames on Scorpion models are made of aluminum by Volquartsen and even though they are mk3 patterned, once you figure out how to align the hammer strut with the main spring housing, the takedown and reassembly process is just as easy as the mk4 models. It also doesn’t require a tool like the Tandem Kross mk4 grip frame assembly.

As far as you selling them, how do you get around the threaded barrels? Do you weld/pin the brake assemblies?

Ok, these will be weird/ugly to some, but they have a "special purpose". For steel challenge, I have been in search of super light rimfire SBR configurations. With a 3D printer, anything is possible. Both printed completely in PLA Plus.

Question, i bought a Topo 22 can. Its 3d printed Titanium. Anyone have experience cleaning sealed 22 cans? Im having second thoughts about the purchase as I imagine it will be difficult to maintain. It was only $350 so I'll probably just get another 22 suppressor that can be taken apart eventually.

There are special cleaner kits available for suppressors. I bought a Breakthrough brand kit after watching the brownells gunsmiths clean a shop suppressor. It really does cut through the carbon buildup and lead. If you are concerned, save your current suppressor for a 17HMR rifle.
