Because while it's not the UK or Canada yet, newscum has openly praised their "model" of gun control. You might call it "hyperbole", a great many of us call it foreshadowing. Or a warning of what could come to pass here.

I don't think you actually believe the 2A situation here is getting markedly better. For each inch forward, newscum and bonta make giant leaps backwards. It's like they (and old Fudds like me, apparently) say, it's death by 1,000 cuts.

There’s a growing trend in 2A in the state, while these kind of laws suck it doesn’t prohibit ownership. Not justifying it, but 2A is definitely growing. We just need to bring more people together to do it. I don’t like Newsom or Bonta either, PG&E and homeless spending are my biggest gripes.

We’re close to 26k after 18 mo and growing with moar events. 24-45 is the fastest age groups joining in. Stay positive, we lose some battles but overall just gotta keep building..

I used to try to stay positive. After watching this state spiral over the last 4+ decades, I'm cynical, bitter, and jaded. If I had my druthers and no obligations holding me here, I'd leave this state immediately. Like literally, leave all my and go, and never come back. I hate it here that much.

I sincerely hope you're right and I'm wrong. I hope we're headed away from the canada/uk style of nanny state bull they deal with daily, not heading towards it. You see the glass as half full and filling. I see it half empty and draining. That's a "me" problem, I know. Predictions are a funny thing. The prognosticator usually isn't around to be vindicated or vilified. So I guess we'll have to stay vigilant and see.

And incidentally, I use my monikers because newscum doesn't deserve the respect of me calling him by name. He's an absolute hypocritical piece of and everything wrong with our politics today. I'll never use his christian name as long as I draw breath.

I find it incredibly ironic that we're talking about foreign governments kicking people's doors down and confiscating their guns for "stuff they've said online" when the white house and DHS/FBI are literally attempting to infiltrate "Redneck Revolt" and "The John Brown Gun Club" because they're dangerous terrorist organizations (they said scary stuff about the government online).


Honestly these days the "conservative/libertarian" ideals I grew up seeing at 90s era gunshows really seem like they were just a feel good facade noone actually really seems to believe in that stuff.

Guns are a hobby to the vast majority of 2a people. Feels to them like an empowering hobby, but the principles are so flimsy behind it I don't think it's going to make it much longer. You either believe in the constitution or you don't, and the vast majority of people on the left and right gun owners or not DON'T.

No one should really give this info out on a public board.. So I do think it should be par for proper OpSec. Especially since this part of the site is open to the public.

These days, the government will use your public posting against you, which is why we support the state and federal government. Though we may be critical at times, I think that is an important part for pushing forward. This is also why I recommend being careful about what you say.

If you go outside the country, you may be asked to review your phone logs etc now. We're living in a world where online presences is now part of your social profile and digital ID's are being rolled out. The government, in the name of national security and current emergency state, they have the authority to do a lot of things first.

You're right they have our information in disjointed databases here and there. Now map that with your online persona and you can build a more complete profile on a person.

It's not ridiculous if you work in the industry, I don't know if you have kids, but you should never give your child's info to some random person on the internet because they ask. Especially these days. We go to great lengths to gate things here.

There's someone on CGN wondering how to get into CAguns, I've looked them up and they got rejected here because of several flags that got tripped from a scamming perspective. Social engineering is the number 1 vector for compromises.

The recent coinbase exposure was that. Protect your info.
