Two things came to mind when I just read this little admonishment. The first was Aldous Huxley‘s Brave New World. And that is considered a dystopian novel for a reason.

I guess this is exactly my point though. 2A calibrates its expectations relative to the rest of the country. What if tomorrow Arizona began allowing civilian purchase of explosives?

I actually remember in the 50's and 60's being able to purchase explosives such as dynamite and pyrotol, just walk into the hardware or farm supply store and ask for it, also ammonium nitrate was widely available until after the bombing of the Oklahoma City federal building.

The states are designed to be individual test labs for governance. California has its (current) experiment underway. I don’t always love it, but I know there are plenty of places in America that are less restricted (ie we’re a comically LONG way from all guns being taken away by the government) and I’m at peace with it. Maybe in the long run California proves to be to right. Or maybe we all get murdered while wielding underpowered weirdly configured Franken-weapons. I guess if I felt strongly enough I’d move to a different lab.

Last I checked Trump doesnt believe in this "offensive" language control BS neither do I. I dont see the trump administration limiting or controlling our language or thoughts.Im in my late 20s and cant believe how much the world has changed for the worse. We used to be a proper country a few decades ago. It becomes my problem when people try to limit and control speech they dont like or agree with. Look up what a facists means. I could never say anything that other than their accepted narrative because they would attack me. Tell them that no man can be woman or that there are only 2 genders and see how accepting those "anti facist" really are. I agree, trump has been somewhat of a disappointment. Brave new world was a big influence on me. You really have to try here to be banned unless you’re a scammer then it’s very easy. We have no mercy when it comes to scammers and are quite ruthless with the ban hammer.

To get banned, you have to be consistently disrespectful to the community or particular person. Otherwise, differing opinions are encouraged with thought out replies.

There are a lot of newer people here, I think it’s helpful when they have good replies, but this meme is good.

There are banned guns here that you can buy in the other free states. 50 BMG are illegal here in California while you can buy them across the border. I'd love a Barrett but Excremento says NO.

With a federal registration you can buy auto firearms and supressors. I'd love more quiet guns, good for long term hearing protection. Not available in California but available across the border. Not Mexico, but Arizona.

Right, but there is a big difference between banning certain guns / NFA items and banning all guns broadly. You can absolutely buy guns in California. That was the point I was making.
