Starting my search early. My current duck guide is a bit unreliable. He's a great guide, but since I'm a single, he's very iffy on fitting me in. I'm looking for duck/goose guide recommendations for the coming season that's willing to book a single or can easily fit me into a small group. I appreciate the inputs!

Hmm…don’t know of any guides as I have access to private property. Lots of guides near the Sutter Buttes. Did an AI search and saw this.

Yeah, I found the same. Was looking more for a direct recommendation and maybe some comments.

From a friend:
Geese- Fishdog.
Ducks- Scott Feist or Casey Stafford.
If money is not an issue- Roque Merlo.

Money is always an issue, but if the value is there, I'm might be good.

Heck, thank you! Much appreciate the leads. Hate to ask my guy "....do you know another guide." He's great for turkey, but I need to find another for duck. Thanks again.

Sorry
how often do You hunt with a guide?
Sorry for the slow response....I try and get out every season but it's been a couple years now. Given my guide I was pushing me off as a solo. Haven't had a good hunt since pre-covid!

Thank you Natewa. I'll be looking into those leads. Merlo isn't too pricey, comparatively. Most are 300-350 and he's at $400 for a morning hunt. And for $550 it includes afternoon goose as well. Seems fair. Would you go with this outfit?

Also...anyone have experience with MOA Outfitters?

CICC Outdoors. Ask to hunt with Jason Coslovich. He is a CWA biologist who guides full time during the season. His skills are top shelf.
