Dove- CaGuns 2025 official thread

Weather is changing and getting colder here now, so the birds are not showing up in many numbers. Still managed to scratch out four in an hour and a half this evening.

Nice BossMan!!! I’m jealous of your full 2 month block Idaho season! Are you going after ducks and geese this year?

Yes, it's good to have a 2-month season especially when my dove spot is 3 miles away by ATV. I go up there after work for a couple hours when the mood strikes me and knock out a few birds. The bad news is the birds usually disappear before the season is over because it just gets too cold.

Ducks and and geese are casual thing with me because I don't like getting up early, especially when it's cold out. Besides - I just filled a mule deer tag, and have another that opens on October 10th. In addition to that I have two Antelope tags and two white tail tags that I need to fill before the first week of November so I'm going to be pretty busy.

BossMan- Your first-world problems sound like a real b1+€h😜
Yeah, life can be a challenge sometimes.

Picked up 7 more birds last night. It warmed up and they are flying pretty well again. I plan on going up again Friday.

Also - I have an either sex tag for the local hills, and that usually means a fat doe. Season opens tomorrow, but I'll wait till mid week to go..... if i do go. The freezer is pretty full, after all.🤣

BBM- sweet! Tomorrow I’m headed out to my little local pond for quackers. Been scouting and it almost always has Mallards. I’m even more exited for the few groups of Ringnecks I’ve seen.
