Projectiles are getting pricey. I barely have a years worth. I like to have 4 years worth of powder, small pistol and small rifle primers. I always top off powder and primers to keep the numbers flat. The days of cheap Turkish slugs and buckshot are over with tariffs and rising fuel costs, but I’m still getting when I can.

I like to add to the defensive factory ammo stash.: Federal Flite control 12 g buckshot and Federal HST 124 gn.

Rising metal prices, rising fuel prices and tariffs make buying reloading components in bulk prudent.

The Fed just raised the interest rate by 25 basis points and they will probably raise it another 25 points in December. That could help slow inflation.

And hurt bond investments.

I don’t think I’m going to stock up on much of anything, but I do expect everything to get more expensive, and the diesel problem is going to last a long time, so prices will probably stay high for a long time as well. I read that the diesel shortage isn’t completely due to the oil shortage and high crude oil prices. It’s mostly due to the diesel refineries being blown up in the Iran war and the Ukraine war. Something like 20% of the global refinery capacity has been destroyed, and what is left is running at 100% capacity and not keeping up with demand, so the price is going up. If more refineries get kaboomed, then prices will go up even higher. And they won’t come down until the refineries are rebuilt, which can take a long time, and probably won’t start while the wars are on. Plan on everything that moves on trucks or trains to get more expensive.

Some companies such as Frito-Lay have already purchased Tesla semitrucks for their fleet. They're still few in number but they're long range (up to 500 miles) and with center-seating for the driver like a McLaren F1.

They'll probably drive themselves at some point like any other Tesla with FSD. These trucks don't use gas or diesel as they're all electric. Tesla is still building out the charging infrastructure for these trucks like they did for their cars, though with cars most owners charge at home for daily use.

I never understood how Costco thought they could sell bullion for $1,800 an ounce, when they also sold Better Than Bouillon for about $10 for a whole 21oz jar. Are they stupid?
