Question Companies that will ship ammo direct to FFL03s

Recent orders from shootingsurplus.com and sentryammo.com, no tax and cheap shipping. 6.5 Grendel, 6 ARC and 300BLK were the calibers

I just placed an order with Ammojoy. They used to not ship to CA, but they have a new procedure where you can contact them (help@ammojoy.com), attach your FFL03/COE, shoot a link to what you're wanting to purchase, and they will manually approve you.
Edit: since they're new to the CA market, no sales tax. I think they charge shipping on some products, but what I ordered was free shipping.

+1 for Outdoor limited. Super easy to upload your FFL03 + CoE.

They have 9mm Magtech steel for $202 shipped or 9mm Patriot Sports Brass for $229 shipped. No sales tax to CA as well.

I have tried everything possible to order from them, created an account, uploaded FFL03 & COE, the website WILL NOT let me complete an order.

Do you live in an apartment? I had to put mine all on address line 1 when I ordered and then it worked.

For example:

First Last
123 Any St Apt A1
City, CA 12345

Tried it both ways, tried a different address, nothing works. Emailed them, we'll see.

Target sports USA is great. That’s my go to; downside is they charge tax.

Outdoorlimited.com is good too; no tax and free shipping over $200. .308 fmj is a little overpriced on that website though. However they have two alternative 7.62x39 steel case brands to choose from; since Tula and wolf are harder to find now.
+1

Ordered from them & swooped on some really good pricing

I highly recommend Velocity Ammo, their packing and shipping is top notch and I’ve never had an issue with them.
One major downside with Velocity is they don't have Sellier & Bellot 124gr or CCI Mini Mags. Every time I've checked they're out of stock.

Are there any reputable dealers who have this ammo but don't charge CA sales tax? Obviously I'm avoiding the excise tax with an FFL03 and COE, so there's that.

I remember reading about the benefits of getting a FFL03 but I can’t remember everything

Other then having the ability to get a shipped to your house, what other benefits do regular gun owners benefit from by getting a COE+FFL03 license??

Any benefits when we buy reload components?
Guns?

well the original purpose right? for collecting. no waiting on C&R guns. ability to conduct face to face transactions with other FFL03 holders for C&R long guns.

no real benefits for reloading stuff. the hazmat shipping charge is a shipper thing

they got maxxtech 115 for 207 delivered right now

Target Sports USA has the ammo I like so I will probably join up. They have both S&B 9mm 124gr FMJ and CCI Mini Mag round nose. I'll keep checking Velocity though, and probably other CA/FFL03-friendly sites too.
"Join up?"
You can buy from them without paying the cost of the ammo plus membership, and case amounts ship free.
However, that $99 (plus tax) will pay for itself in slightly-reduced ammo cost (8%) and the ability to buy smaller amounts than cases with free shipping. That allows you to buy a couple of boxes of different ammo to test or to top off supplies without shipping charges.

Good to know! I already know the ammo I like, so this is great advice. Thanks!
