Cheapo red dot for 22s? I don't see an optics section...

I've got a bunch of mid to high end red dots on various pistols and rifles, and an ACOG on a semi auto 22, and a Tango 6 on one of my Anschutz's. I have a Buckmark and a couple of 22 rifles I want to throw cheapo red dots on for ringing steel off the back patio. Anything out there in the under fifty bucks world that's up to it? Not really looking to spend Trijicon money on a rifle I'm going to leave on the patio leaned against the wall all year.

The Bushnell TRS 25 is kind of the standard for entry level RDS. Great for rifles, but I find those tube type RDS’ doesn’t work as well on pistols as it blocks your field of view and feels clunky. A mini open reflex RDS is better economical choice for the Buckmark IMO. Maybe look for them on the Marketplace.

I've got 3 of the TRS25s. One quit working after about 30 rounds on an AK. Ya, probably shouldn't have put it on there...

It's what I'm leaving towards for a rifle, not sure it'd sit well on the Buckmark though, and they're up high enough I'd be tempted to just step up to a Vortex.

i think last year botach had a sale on some sousa optics for like 39.99 or something in that neighborhood, i threw it on my daughters 10/22 and worked just fine. also went to the ontario gun show back in march there was an optic guy there with decent prices and a lifetime warranty and looked decent.

primary arms optics are solid and they have a good warranty too. Lifetime and specifically includes "normal wear and tear". I think it's not quite as good as vortex who will replace it even if you run it over with a truck but it's pretty damn good.

I've had one of those on a M&P15-22 for years, it's worked fine for my needs.

That is a very solid RDS. I have one on my PCC and the dot is very crisp compared to many other offerings.

OP, I looked and for the Buck Mark the cheapest open reflex dot I recall is the UTG OP3. Not the crispest dot, but OK for a pistol. I would steer clear of the tube type RDS on a pistol. My buddy had a Sig Romeo on his Buck Mark and it just felt out of place and like it was blocking a lot of the overall picture. Pay a little more for a better open reflex RDS and you will be happier in the long run.

+1 on Bushnell TRS25 for .22 rifles. I have one on a 10/22 bullpup. It's been on there for 9+ years now, approximately 3k rounds and still works! Pack spare batteries when you go the range.

+1 for the Bushnell but seems to be dohble what you want to pay. I would go with the primary arms as a solid 2nd choice for a plinker. 22. And on sale now for $49

Well, took the TRS25 out of the box yesterday, put it on the gun, and it failed about 5 minutes in. Thats the second one I've had do it. Guess I'll go back to better junk.

I hate to admit it but i have a cheap amzon CV life holographic site on my 10/22. Been on there 3+ years and works great. It was like $20 lol.
