CCW - you're carrying, you print or it's exposed, someone (employee, random stranger) asks 'you're carrying (a gun)?

If it's exposed and reactions remain logical, I might offer I've a CCW and let it go at that.
If someone chooses to go fully non-linear with their response then things have gone from logic to emotion, and I can't control other's emotions. My course of action then is situation dependent, but likely involves me quietly removing myself from the scene.
I've told this story before, I'll offer it again 'cause... It's pseudo-relevant.
I was in a Costco near Phoenix Arizona maybe 4 years ago. Walking down one of the main routes towards the payment point I heard a clatter to my right, down one of the side-aisles. Turning to look I saw someone swiftly recovering a holstered pistol that somehow had fallen to the floor. I just smiled, shook my head, and said "That's... Not good". He verbally echoed the sentiment, and that was that.
I'm a gun guy, I understood the situation, and let it go with a gentle chiding. I've no idea how that holstered pistol got away from him, clearly it's inexcusable. But I also saw no value in haranguing the fellow like a cranky range officer. A direct observation making my point, then I was on my way.

Only happened to me once because I was contorted in crazy ways bending under this guy’s car to help him and he just said something like “I don’t mind you have a gun” or something along those lines. Felt like a weird thing to tell me lol I just said you should get your CCW too. That was it.
If you’re in the grocery store or something you could be basically open carrying and people still wouldn’t notice lol
In Nevada I walked around open carrying since it’s illegal to CCW and nobody cared

Unless I believe that I truly did expose the gun (which I am very mindful of and since I carry AIWB, I normally have control of my garment), the answer will be a polite 'no' and go about my business.
It might be different if it was fully exposed and a 'no' would be an outright lie.

Why do you guys worry about this stuff?
If you're carrying concealed, IT'S CONCEALED.
If you're wearing a gun and you wear the crop tops and skin tight jeans that dudes wear these days (
) its time to adjust your wardrobe or your gun. For years I appendix carried a full size TRP operator in 45acp with a wilson combat 10 round single stack magazine, id alternate between that and a glock 19 with a surefirex300 even tho I owened multiple subcompacts like a glock 26. The trick? Dont wear size "baby".
a couple years ago I was at target and someone whom to me looked like a text book off duty swat officer was waiting in line, as I passed I casually said "your p320 grip is sticking out" and I kept it moving (he was carrying at about 4oclock on his waist band... he could not tell his shirt was up), I never waited for a response or anything.
Guys, just carry up front. If we want to be mall ninja about it, your body is made to reach forward...defensively you have more range of motion (and strength forward than backwards) the guys carrying at 3,4,5 or 7,8,9 o'clock positions are at a much higher disadvantage than someone carrying appendix. ALSO, what guy looks at a dudes junk while walking? The chances of printing and it being noticed by anyone but the ladies when carrying up front is so much lower compared to a bulge by your rear hip line.
