Can a RMR cut slide be milled to a ACRO cut slide?

Just got my hands on a 19x. I want to direct mount my acro to it with rear sights forward. Is this possible and what shops do it? Thanks!

Depending on how deep the existing rmr cut is, I imagine the acro cut may lower the deck height of the mounting surface even further due to the milling of the slot/rail for the acro to clamp onto.

I suggest using a rmr to acro plate to avoid potentially damaging the slide's interior - may look goofy, but it's a non perm alternative.

You can easily convert an RMR cut slide to an ACRO footprint by using an adapter plate.
