I have had a CCW with San Joaquin County for 12 years but I am moving to Calaveras County in October and was just wondering if anybody has experienced getting a new permit there recently, I have heard it was relatively easy but nobody has said if was a long drawn out process or not, I don't want to start too early because I don't want to be turned down for not living there. When we purchased the house in 2018 I applied because we were going to move there full time but I had not completely moved yet and was only there during the weekends so they turned me down, which was fine because we decided to wait until my youngest graduated, and that is happening now so we are ready to make the move full time.

Would also love some good advise on training, I love Trident Firearms academy but they are not listed on the list as an approved trainer, and in 12 years I have seen a lot of not so good trainers and courses.
