Announcement CA Middleman & Compliance Service

EBR provided the middleman FFL services when I purchased a SCAR 17 online from out of state. Excellent communication, perfect work, and scary fast turnaround. HIGHLY recommended!
 
Yes, sadly on the advice from our CA firearms attorney, we have discontinued our middleman/compliance service for all states due to exponentially increased litigation risk. All customer firearms currently in our possession for middleman service work will be completed and shipped as agreed, but we will accept no more transfers effective immediately. Very special thanks to all those that have utilized our middleman service over the past 11 years.

We will continue to offer consignment/auction service for our CA friends should they need to sell personal & estate firearms along with firearms legal in AZ.

Bummed to hear this, I’m assuming this has something to do with what happened recently to Mean Arms and their magazine lock in NY. It’s bull💩 what happened to them, but I don’t blame you guys at all for not wanting to take the risk. A state like California could easily sue you out of business or bankrupt you. Thank you for assisting all the gun owners behind enemy lines all these years. I used your service about 5-6 years ago to bring an AR into CA and it was as smooth as could be.
 
This was and continues to be a very painful decision for us. We have been dedicated to helping our CA friends with compliance solutions since 2011. It was our primary focus. After discussion with our attorney, the following has become clear:

1: AB1263 has created a legal environment wherein there are no longer any protections for industry members for CA transactions. It bypasses Federal PLCAA provisions. There will certainly be legal action against AB1263. It's provisions may be overturned, but in the interim the risk to industry members is unpalatable. Our attorney referred to it as "a doomsday bill" for industry members. Anyone contemplating doing firearms/accessories transactions with CA needs to have deep pockets and a robust legal defense plan.

2: The Mean Arms case is alarming and sets a precedent for other blue states to do the same and they most certainly will.

We'll continue to offer consignment/auction services for our CA friends that want to downsize their collections or have a friend/relative that needs to dispose of something that is legal in AZ. ;)

You guys are amazing. I could not have gotten my PSA AK556 without you guys. Hopefully you guys will do business with CA again once things clear up.
