CA compliance rules for AK

Looking to sell an AK but... getting mixed feedback from FFLs/shops.
I visited some shops to discuss consignment and they gave me various feedback on the compliance and it confuses me. I want to make a listing here but I want to make sure it's compliant.

One FFL told me a comp mag is sufficient to make it CA Compliant. Comp mag installed.
Another FFL told me the folding stock is a problem because of length (?). Other shops didn't have a problem with it.
Another FFL said "you must field strip it if you want to bring it in here" so I did.

I did some google searching, and I think mine is compliant because it has a fixed mag, it's not on the banned list per oag.ca.gov, and I see another listing on this site that is more or less a bulkier version of what I have ("assault" features are more or less the same, just the heat shield (?) + sights + model/make are different).

2. Not on banned list
3. Fixed mag or featureless
4. 16” barrel at least

Without seeing a pic of your rifle or a rifle in same config I can’t tell u what exactly is wrong with it.

They want you to field stripped then it’s DROS as a receiver which is very hard for just a receiver to be an assault weapon. It gets rid of a lot of liability.

Folding stocks are going to [almost always] be non-compliant due to overall length requirements, which still apply regardless of fixed mag or not and is measured in the smallest possible condition that can be made to fire (stock folded, and muzzle device removed). An AKM pattern rifles is only about 26.5" from rear tang to the end of the barrel. If your stock isn't pinned to prevent folding, you'll want to put a fixed stock on to sell it.

just do what Odin Works does... 5.5" Barrel with 16" P&W to make up for the difference with the fold. I mean why not? it's an AK. I've seen dudes use shovels as AK's, K stands for Kreativikov, right?
