I'm in the IE and I love that place. Anyone interested in getting a pool together? Week days, weekends?

We have a small club that rents a private range at Burro Canyon the second Saturday of every month. It is always Range 1C, across the dirt road from the office. It starts at 9AM. I usually post it but have not yet this month. There are usually only a half dozen to a dozen shooters. We do 2 or 3 handgun stages and then a 3 gun. Yes, it is timed and run like a formal match, but it is all for fun and no one keeps track of the scores. We have the range all day so you can stay and keep shooting how and what you like after the match. The standard match procedure and safety rules apply in the matches, but any safe firearm is okay for the match. Everyone of all skill levels is welcome....my son started at age 12 and occasionally a wife or girlfriend will join us.

This month should be a Pearl Harbor/WWII match so M-1s, carbines, Mausers, Springfields, 1911s, Lugers, etc are encouraged but not required. Match is on Dec 14, starting at 9AM. Sign up and pay with us at the range - not at the office as we pay for the range rental, targets, etc.

The match does move faster and more smoothly when everyone chips in an helps with set up, target pasting, etc. No one is getting paid to run this - it is all volunteers.

Been years since I been there range was cool but the power trip ro was another story

Had east 1 check in they were hard on steel ammo checks ammo all is good. 30 min into shooting guy rolls up on utv starts yelling stop shooting gather here I’m checking ammo for steel core threatens he finds one round we’re done etc.

Checks all again finds nothing still in pissy mood. Now wants to look in truck. Tell him F off this is the second time you found nothing as we don’t have any. He finally backs off. Was prob 12 years ago never been back.

Are the roads open? Other roads in that general vicinity have been closed due the the Bridge Fire. In my area, even though it's miles from the fire location, has been closed until January 1, 2026.
