Browning Buckmark URX Full length optic rail.

Need help finding this optic rail.

I have a Buckmark URX 5 1/2 in barrel, 9 1/2 in overall length. Looking to add a full length rail like this one. Cant find it online. Also, does this rail come with Front and Rear sights installed already?

OK, so...

First thing: What is the profile of your current barrel? Is it a Contour (as in your posted link)? I'm guessing not since it would have come with the rail you wanted.

Next: Is the barrel profile something like this (Constant diameter bull barrel) like:

Buck Mark Field Target

Heavy/Bull barreled single-action, blowback operated, rimfire pistol. Full-length top Picatinny rail. Pro-Target adjustable sights. Laminated cocobolo target grips.

If so you'll need to check the Parts List and see if they sell them separate. Be careful, the Contour models have a similar rail but the profile of those barrels is flat on top so that rail would not work.

If so you are out of luck since the barrel is not constant diameter and there is a relief cut in the barrel for the current top strap. To my knowledge, nobody makes an aftermarket full length rail for this barrel profile (or any full length rail in fact - I think only Browning makes them).

There are a few more variations. It would be helpful if you can post a pic of the gun, or find the model on the Browning website and post a link to it.

Yeah as far as I know, you can't get a full length rail on it. See how the barrel end of your current rail resides in a cutout in the barrel above the chamber?

Any full rail that would fit your barrel would have to be stepped in order to accommodate that cutout, and AFAIK there are none like that.

That being said, Browning's made about a zillion different variations so maybe at one point they did make a rail like that, but I don't think they do now.

AFAIK, if you want a full length rail, you need to buy a barrel that will accommodate one; either a Contour or Field Target, and then get the corresponding rail.

This is the one I use. Might be other options. I think they sell one with an integrated rear iron sight, but you'd need to do some checking regarding appropriate front site.

Ended up getting a TacSol Trail lite and a cheapo red dot. Clone of Bushnell TRS25.
