Requiring sign-in for those sections is the most effective tool we have. It takes a minute to register, it's free, and it keeps what happens here between actual members.

Looking to get my ccw soon what’s the process like and how long does it take for anyone who recently went through the process

Contact a CCW training company to get your classroom & range training done (16 hours for initial). Check with your issuing agency on their process. They may you to apply online first, then make an appointment for your fingerprinting. Order of operations may differ. Get all your required documents together, pay fees, etc. Don't forget to check if your IA has restrictions on weapon modifications (e.g. trigger/internal parts parts can't be swapped). Finally, rejoice in the knowledge that you live in the central valley, where CCW application timelines are 1000% faster than the large CA metro areas. I've had mine in Tulare County for many years. My initial application approval took about 1 month.
