Has anyone been to Astoria Range in Soledad? Do you have to reserve lanes or be a member to shoot there? I would like to confirm my PRS gun's ballistics on the 700yd line.

Nah, you can just roll up and shoot. It costs money to get into the range, check the website.

They have steel challenge and USPSA matches listed on practiscore, you can sign up, shoot a match, then shoot long range.

Everyone there is really nice and they have a TON of steel targets to shoot.

I have heard good things about this range when visiting the Salinas/Monterey area in August of this year for Monterey Car Week. That small mom and pop gun shop in the little shopping center parking lot, I forgot the name, across the street from the Salinas mall that has the Lids hat store; that gun shop was a chill shop. Came in during a slow time, told them I was visiting the area, had a nice talk with the primo working in there, as well as a chill off duty deputy that stopped by. Both were not fuddy; the shop was not fuddy either.
