Ar9 lower options

If you already have pmags you can spare these are pretty cool:

LRBHO works on exomags for most configurations

If you have a standard blowback AR-9 (Foxtrot Mike, Aero EPC, PSA, etc.), order the version with the ejector.

If you have a CMMG Radial Delayed, MEAN Bearing Delay, or similar delayed system, order the ejectorless version instead.

The exomags have a fatal flaw, since the ejector is in the magazine if you take the magazine out with a round in the chamber it can pull it out of the chamber when you clear it and look in the empty chamber but then go right back when you close the bolt. So at best annoying but at worst it's dangerous.

“Fatal flaw” seems pretty dramatic. The concern with the ejector-equipped ExoMag is real and users absolutely need to understand the different clearing procedure, but I haven't been able to find a documented incident where this design actually caused an ND or injury.

MEAN also offers ejectorless ExoMags for compatible uppers that have their own ejector, which eliminates this particular concern entirely.

Was wondering this myself. Got a 10.5 sbr on 5.56 but want it more useful and thinking 300bo but 9mm has my attention too cheap ammo close range gun.

Guy at local range said you’re gonna pay to set up regardless. Buy an overpriced lower in 9mm or by the mag conversion block. Right now leaning buying the block then a new barrel and needed parts

Endo/Exomags are the way to go - use the AR15 lower/upper - the change over is Buffer weight, BCG, and Barrel.

No. it's a really bad design, to clear it you have to eject with the magazine in, keep it held back and drop the mag. Here in CA if you are running a mag lock thing you are pretty much F-ed and even if not it goes against the basic manual of arms that every single gun has i.e. remove the magazine and clear the chamber. So anyone that uses your gun you have to watch like a hawk, you have to treat it differently than any other gun you have as well.

This one is good. I have an epc9. Solid.

I have a battle arms development xiphos lower that takes glock mags. Has been very reliable. I think the buffer weight is the key to the reliability too.

I have a build with Mean Arm’s bearing delayed upper on a standard AR lower using ejector-less mags and it’s on a completely different level of smoothness compared to the traditional blowback guns. I even kicked my MPX to the curb.
How long did you wait to get the Mean ARs upper??
