My preference has always been time-tested designs over modern polymer, striker handguns. I cut my teeth on wheel guns because my dad is a depression baby. He’s in his late 80s and views the S&W Model 19 or Colt Python as the apex of handgun technology.
I have a Beretta 950BS that belonged to my grandpa on my CCW, which was his EDC from 1981 until he passed away. It’s definitely my most elegant weapon from a more civilized time. An 8+1 mouse gun that you can conceal in euro banana hammock swim trunks has a certain charm.
