Agm rattler 19-256 V2

Does anyone have any first hand experience with the 19-256 V2?
I know the thermal snobs swear by the 640 sensor

Thinking about getting one for pest control (rodents) in the backyard and then swapping over for the occasional hog hunt out of state.

I know 19-256 is the lowest offering by AGM but hows the image inside of 100 and probably no further than 50/75 yards

I have one and it's great. I don't remember exactly which model it is but it's the ~900 dollar one shortly after the V2 came out. I found one on a good sale and bought it. Have compared it with some friends who have several thousand dollar similar ones and it isn't nearly as good as those, but it's plenty good. I can shoot rats and mice at 50 yards on a 22 all night long. The spare battery that pops out and back in is a huge plus and the 5 (I think) reticle settings to swap between rifles and numerous yardage options for each rifle is a huge plus.
I've used it as a handheld monocular a lot and I can see deer clearly at 4 and 500 yards, and hot spots at a thousand which are deer. Birds and mice and rabbits out to a couple hundred is easy. I can ID my small not much bigger than a big jackrabbit dog from a jackrabbit easily at a hundred.

I think the ~900 dollar one is about the best deal running out there for light work like mice and ground squirrels and steel plates you've heated up with a torch at night.

The only negative I can think of is that the lowest magnification setting is 2.5x, which for closer targets is too much. It's easy to lose a running rat at 20 yards in that. Almost better at 40 and 50.

Sick thank you. That basically answers my question. Mice, night time, air rifle, good to go inside of a permitter where 50 yards is max back stop distance

I'll tell you one thing, hanging some steel plates out around the back of the property, going out and hitting them for a half a minute or so each with a propane torch, and then plinking in full dark is one of the most fun times you can have with your clothes off. It's a freaking riot. It would only be better if we could have suppressors here.
Hand warmers are ok targets too but not as good. If you poke a hole in them all the stuff slowly comes out and they're no longer hot so you want to set the reticle to hit 6" or whatever below them for a group...but shooting groups isn't what thermals are about. Mice and steel are where it's at!
