It's telling that the only badge-verified FFL to post in this thread about all the things that will now be subject to new restrictions came here to reply to the citizen's workaround with 'no u can't do that!'

Probably speed dialing lobbyists in Sacramento to go after virtual mailbox shipments to California now.

California is absolutely coming for workarounds like this next. Look at where we are now where California is at the point where it is pivoting to stop people from assembling firearms (sometimes 3d printed) using parts from online retailers and controlling barrels.

The state will sue gun retailers based on the idea they are selling to California residents through proxies and retailers will start doing stuff like refusing to ship to any virtual mailbox or process any orders with a CA billing address. Maybe they sue virtual mailbox companies over use taxes. They will extend California jurisdiction as far as they can.

They use drop shipping and aren't actually in control of their inventory. You might get it in a few days or in a few months whether it says "in stock" or not.

I mean at least the struck out language was more vague than what's left...
But the "assault weapon" language sucks...
Aren't "AW" features listed as like pistol grips, adjustable stocks, flash hiders etc?
So you can't even order a pistol grip for your legal AR-15 pistol without uploading ID etc?
If the vendor will even ship to CA?
And where does "manufacturing" come in?
