self serving question....but would Featureless compliance items like kydex featureless grip wraps fall under AB 1263?

• It is not a grip or accessory under CA PC 30515.
• It is not 3d printed (at least mine aren't).
• It does not result in the ability to shoot faster or enable faster mag changes (***compared to a stock rifle)

While amazon does allow some things, they banned many if not most things related to what they determine to be an assault weapon. Again, some sellers have figured out how to evade detection by listing products in other categories and disguising their true nature, but this is a list of what amazon allows and doesn't allow. If you look at that, you will see ebay is MUCH more permissive than amazon. This list in not all inclusive, and they reserve the right to deem any part as an assault weapon part at any time.

I mean, maybe, but the state isn't saying that so I'm not sure why so many people want to make the definitions as broad as possible. The DOJ will put out a bulletin eventually that is more specific and then we will actually know. They won't be running sting operations for out of state vendors at 12:01 on Jan 1.

Wrong. The gun is designed to function only with a magazine, the magazine itself doesn't increase the rate of fire, it already fires at that rate.

I don't follow your logic at all, if you want it to be super broad then have at it but you aren't making a legal argument here. Look up the CRPA guidance doc and then wait and see what DOJ comes up with for guidance. They will be very specific in their bulletins to FFLs what is covered.

Funny enough the CRPA guidance does lost magazines but it's under the "assault weapons" definition which doesn't make much sense to me since a legal magazine does not make an assault weapon. But again, we will see what the state says, they won't just start arresting people they are going to put out guidance.

Yeah I just posted a followup to my own comment but they don't list it under the accessories which increase the rate of fire. I ordered a similar one a few days ago just in case . Your LGS may have or be able to get one at an inflated price after 1/1/26.

The Law 3 Guidance Notifications from CADOJ for dealers on new Laws were:

They are not very good at letting us know what to do in a timely fashion. To say they are not going to enforce this before guidance is silly. Ignorance or the law is never a excuse and they will use it to penalize dealers if they want to.
